Here was the Dsport Feature

November 1, 2007 - We did not race the car this year, however we did stay busy working on the Prelude. New pictures will be posted soon.
Its now November 23d here are some pictures of what has been going on over the summer.
THe prelude factory wiring was pulled out of the car and it was rewired for the XFI Fast engine management - here are some pictures of the process.

The gauges were relocated and a moroso swith panel was added.

We wanted to add the alternator back on the car so a new exhaust manifold needed to be fabricated. Here it is.

We worked hard towards the end of last season to make it to the track and actually got all the way to the dyno and found a problem with our NEW turbo. We saw from the inlet side of the turbo the the compressor wheel was hitting the housing. This was on the second and last pull. After pulling the compressor housing we saw it was hitting on the inside of the housing as well. This was a real let down and is being taken care of for the 2008 season. More details will follow in a couple months.

Date April 7, 2008
We havn't been posting much here lately, but have stayed consistantly busy working on the car. Not rushing as we have done in the past. We hope to be testing by May - We are hoping all of our years of learning and not quitting will pay off this year.
It is June of 2008 and NOPI canceled the Colorado and Utah events due to financial problems. Here is what happened over the last couple weeks.
We have the new Garrett GT42 turbo on the car with a new header to allow room for running an alternator to provide enough volgate for all of the electronics. I wish that we had changed to the Garrett brand years ago because there product and service is superior to our earlier turbo applications - just look at this dyno video - 872 wheel horse power is amazing! This video was 8 days before what was scheduled to be the Denver NOPI event. It was a great night getting home at 3am and still having to go to work the next day. When we got home after work we did a quick compression check to find out that there was a problem with our #1 cylinder having low compression. The next day on a Friday we took the head off of the motor and here is what the #1 piston looked like.

So we pulled the engine and had the block rehoned and our head has some damage so both were taken to the machine shop on Saturday. We were able to get a rush on our work and picked the head and block up on Tuesday. We rebuilt the engine and installed it on Thursday along with egt controls for each cylinder to avoid this happening again. Here was the completed set up and we made it to the race on Saturday.
So we went from the picture on the left to the picture on the right in 1 week to get ready for another event.

Here are a couple pictures from the race. We still need some front end alingment work and we shreaded the tranny on the first pass.

We have been busy building 2 limited late model cars to run 16 Nascar events in 2009. We ended last season wiht the prelude finally coming together with a 1.7 60ft and 4.6 330 then the block which we knew had a problem filled up with water and the car still ran 11.2 at 100 mph coasting through the traps.
We will build a new block this year and be at the drag strip with a totally new look making some fast passes. Stay tuned for around the May June time frame.
It is now May and the circle track cars are finished - We are now going to put our focus back on the Prelude. I will take some pictures of the block from last year - Split the wall between cylinders 2 & 3.
The new block with LA sleeves is now complete - looking to get some new Arias pistons soon then we can begin.
