It is now the 3d week in May and still having issues getting the bock finished. This has affected us attending the NOPI Arizona race. We are obviousely not happy. We are taking steps to eliminate this problem in the future. Within the next couple weeks we will have 3 back up heads and complete sets of of supertech valves, springs and retainers. Two heads will be taken to the machine shop and will be ready to go.
Next is the block which has been our main problem. The machine shop had a block for many weeks and to make a long story short it can't be used. We purchased a second 1992 prelude for a street car and had the motor tore down and ready for a rebuild this weekend. We took that h23 block and brought it to the machine shop for the race car. We are working hard to purchase 3 backup blocks and have them sleeved so we never have to go through this aggrivation again.

Drag racing is a continuous learning experiane. We are at a level of horsepower where we need pack up parts on the shelf ready to go at a minutes notice. We are totally focused on this area. Its the same story though - money, money, money, but we are trying to get creative to take care of everything.

Our next major race is NHRA here in Denver Colorado, We have to add our 4" exhaust back which will need some modifications and we will need to build a engine containment pan per nhra rules. Our last years short block will be put in the prelude next week and we are going testing as much as possible. We are considering adding the newely built engine just before this race.

Well it is May 12, 2006 We are hoping to get our new sleeved block back from the maching shop today. If not we are going to build our last years set up to be ready for the St. Louis Nopi race on June 3d. We very much need to get to our local track and get some passes down before traveling again. Wish us luck.

Here is a picture of the 4" exhaust we added for the Denver NHRA race. We also added our enging/tranny pan with a 1" lip per the NHRA rules.

June 10th and 11th was the NHRA event in Denver Colorado.
We were forced to use our back up block, we decided to use a different sleeve for the motor rebuild on what we will call our monster engine that will be ready for Las Vegas.
Here are some pictures from the event.

We will be racing again July 14th and 15th at the NHRA event in Las Vegas. We will have a new engine for this race. If you will be at the event stop by and check out the car.

Well it is July 15th and we were not able to attend the Las Vegas event. Our engine is not ready. Our past engines all had a common problem of the flywheel bolts backing out costing us downtime, money and track time. A local machine shop was taking steps to make this problem go away. Many people were involved in this process and it just took too much time. We are making some changes in our race program by adding some additional expertise into the mix which should pay off at the track. We are now focused on 2 areas - engine building and traction control. Once we have these taken care of look out! because it will result in something special.

Wow I can't believe its is already Sept 15th. The motor is finally finished. This motor has been build at the Prologger shop. Extensive machine shop work has went into this build.

Here are a couple of the motor in the car as of last night.
Check out the breather tank being fed from the valve cover. We had serious crank case pressure issues the last race and neve want to go through that again so this was the fix.

This has been a challenging year for us.We feel we have done everything possible to this engine with the help of Kyle at prologger.com. We will be on the dyno some time this week and if everything goes well at the track we may possibly travel to the Norwalk, Ohio event if we can come up with the money. Wish us luck. We also have a few more things up our sleeve. Lets first see how things go at the track over the next couple weeks.

It is now October 06 and the car is together. We have changed our engine management and other things. We have some great news. The prelude will be on display at the sema show in the NOPI booth. We will get pictures and post from the show.

Before leaving for the Sema show we shrink wrapped the Prelude to keep it clean during the 12 hour drive to Las Vegas.

We will no longer be sponsored by Cardomain in 2007, however we appreciate their support for 2006.

The prelude is at the PFI speed shop right now getting some modifications taken care of for 2007. We expect to be much faster in 2007 which should have happened this year. We have figred out what our problems were from the past and they should be behind us now. We will have to build a new oil catch pan to meet the NHRA rule changes.

We will post our race schedule for 2007 soon. It looks like Texas, Arizona, Indiana, Missori and Nevada for now. Depends on sponsorships.

Here is a picture from the PRI Performance Racing Industry in Orlando Florida. One of our sponsors fuelab.com used a picture of our car in their background booth. They provide awesome fuel regulators, filters and pumps.
