Right now, im in the middle of a 4cyl-V8 conversion. for the past year, i was in the gathering phase, but now i finally have everything i need, so the project is about to kick off. i have a decently beefed up 310 for the car, but due to financial issues, i'm just gonna have to put in a stock 302 from a GT donor car with a T5. I'm going to properly build up the 310 over the winter/spring seasons and hopefully it should be in my car by next summer. So far, the stuff i've switched over to V8 is:

front suspension (kept 4cyl springs)
front brakes
rack and pinion
rearend (8.8 with 3.27's)
rear suspension
radiator
clutch pedal assembly with UPR quick release quadrant

also, i put in a walbro 255lph fuel pump while the rearend was out and the car was in the air so i wouldnt have to do it later. here's what the car looks like at the moment. also, since the pics were taken, i've added a rear bumper and taillights. the next thing im going to do is finish the body work on the fenders and put the front end on.

here's a list of the stuff i have for my car...the performance mods are a list of what is on the 310.

Appearance
Wheels

street: stock 16x7 Pony Wheels (dont know what rubber yet)
strip: 15x3.5 Weld draglites, 15x7 Weld draglites (dont know what rubber yet)
2.5" cowl hood
cobra grill insert
cobra badges

Performance Mods
310ci (302 bored .060)
E303 cam
FRPP roller lifters
hardened pushrods
Crane/Ford 1.7 Roller Rockers
GT40p heads
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with 3/8" spacer
MAC 70mm throttle body with matching spacer
C&L 73mm MAF meter calibrated for 24lb injectors
underdrive crank pulley
Aluminum waterpump
Accel 8mm plug wires
UPR quick release quadrant/cable/firewall adjustor
Pro5.0 shifter
255lph fuel pump
Spintech Prostreet mufflers (2.5")
MAC caster/camber plates
Motorsport A/C eliminator kit
ARP bolts throughout entire motor
Autozone DynaPak "Heavy duty" clutch :(

Misc. things
5" Autometer tach
Autometer volt and temp gauges

Things still needed/getting
MAC 1 5/8" longtube headers
adjustable fuel pressure regulator
custom 2.5" offroad H pipe
24lb injectors
head work
MSD 6AL
3.73 or 4.10 gears
CAI
Upper/Lower control arms
Subframe connectors

of course im always going to be needing/wanting other parts, but that's just a list of things needed for the 310.

As you can see, i have A LOT of work ahead of me, after i do the body work and get the front end on, i plan on priming the car myself then the motor/transmission transplant. Because of the same financial issues, i'll probably just get a cheap Maaco paint job for now, until i can get some money, time, and a place to paint it myself. Im still debating on the color. Anyways, that's my car so far, i know it's not much, but it will be! i'll keep you updated on the progress of my car. thanks for looking!
