The conversion on this car was completed in the summer of 2002. It took me about one year to gather all the parts needed.
The stock 7A motor was replaced with a 3B turbo engine with just 100,000 miles. The 5-speed stock transmission was replaced with a 6-speed transmission out of an S2.
Several other modifications were done at the same time. For example, the stock exhaust manifold was replaced by an RS2 type and the turbo was replaced by a small K26. Larger brakes were also fitted.
This car has been my daily driver since the conversion 17,000 miles ago.
The 3b was just put in.
The intercooler and piping are S2 stock.
The sheetmetal for the battery inside the engine compartment has been removed.
The downpipe is a modified 200TQ pipe. The oil lines were also modified from a 200TQ.
Here is a picture of the inside wiring once all the splicing was completed the harness was ready to be put in place.
