Here is my first truck, a 1988 jeep comanche. Started out as a 2.5L 5-spd, and finished off as a mustang 5L & T-5. Had the truck for 8 years now, and have finally finished. Changed the Bench seat over to leather from a '91 cherokee & the center console from a '95 Grand cherokee. I couldn't use a console out of a cheorokee because the shifter actually comes through the floor about 6" further back than the stock shifter because the v8 & tranny are longer than the stock I6.

It also has a 3 core rad to keep er cool, and replaced the stock dana35 rearend with a crysler 8.25 from a 318 dodge dakota. After the enigne swap, I took the spider gears out of the rear end in the first 2 minutes on the road, so the rear axle swap was ineviable. Finished off with a home-made rollpan. This is what it looked liked for most of those years:

Last year my dad and I gave it a new paint job, and borrowed the 'Boss 302' paint scheme from the earlier Mustangs. Gathered up the parts to do a front end swap from the newer cherokees ('97-'01)over the winter and threw that on as well.

Picked up some chrome legpipes from a '69 vette, and installed them. got some new rims and tires, 8" in the front, 10" in the rear to get more traction. Here are the pics after we re-painted it:

Dirty, but it sure does the trick. Topped off with Edlebrock RPM Performer Intake, Edelbrock 600cfm carb, shorty heddman hedders, and K&N filter fed by a Ram-air Hoodscoop.
