I inherited this truck from my grandfather in the spring of 2003. My dad and I have been working on the restoration ever since. It is about half way done right now. Don't forget to sign my guestbook and let me know what you think.
Here is the truck when we got it. The truck had been sitting outside for a good couple of years. Needless to say there was a lot of rust and a lot of work ahead of us.
The first stages of disassembly after we removed the bed.
Next to go was the front of the truck.
Here is the rolling chassis after we removed all the body parts.
That's me powerwashing the frame after we removed the front and rearend components.
This shows the frame right after using an ecthing process to take off all the rust now it is ready for paint.
Here is the frame after paint.
Here is the completed rolling chassis with everything painted, new shocks and the new wheels on. The wheels are 15x10 Panther Custom Wheels. No they aren't 20s but they look better than the stock wheels.
This is my 2003 S10 taking the 352 V8 to be rebuilt.
Here is the engine back from being rebuilt.
This is the sub box for the 10" Pioneer subwoofer.
We had to weld this mount plate for the new Pioneer reciever over where the old radio went.
Here is one of the new bucket seats that we got from a newer Dodge pickup and the sub box behind it.
Here is the polished aluminum grill we got to replace the painted grill that was orginally on the truck.
