10vt Engine

here's a couple of pics of what i've got going on in my spare head.derecuda's 1986 Audi 4000 you can see the differences between the stock and my porting.

upgrades will be 40mm intake valves and 35mm inconel exhaust valves, titanium retainer, autotech valve springs, and lightweight lifters.

all the previously mentioned stuff go scrapped when my headgasket let go and started seeping boost into the coolant system. so i scrambled to get one of my spare heads lightly ported, lap the valves in, install the Ti valve spring retainers and some ARP head studs and a 20v all metal headgasket all put together to get it running. here's a few pics.derecuda's 1986 Audi 4000derecuda's 1986 Audi 4000
this is an extra exhaust manifold i ported out a bit and had surfaced in hopes of avoiding warping and cracking for a while. derecuda's 1986 Audi 4000derecuda's 1986 Audi 4000

i have installed an 11lb fidanza derecuda's 1986 Audi 4000aluminum flywheel of which i have been coordinating soem group buys, so if you're interested shoot me an email. it's a wonderful enhancement and makes shifting nicer along with being able to blip the throttle and get a quicker reaction for downshifting. there are no downsides to it that i'v found in the six months that i've had mine. no jerky take offs, no loss in bottom end power.

and this is my 5 pin trigger for the 034 injector pulse signal.

well crap, i hate when the login time expires cause this is the second time i've had to make this page up, so enjoy it or else!! :)

here's the fuel rail and the stainless feedline that i bent to clear the throttle linkages.

this is the -5 to -6 AN adapter to go from the stock fuel line to AN braided line.

here are my upper and lower BOV's.

this is my new BOV, it works real nice and doesn't make the moaning sounds that the old bosch ones did.

I also made the wastegate adjustable so i can fine tune the boost to 12psi. i have a chip for the the sotck computer which still runs my ignition duties, and it's set up to give timing maps up to 12psi, after that the MAP sensor has to be changed ( i think :).

currently i'm running 15psi of boost. i changed the old k26 turbo out for a nicer, better k24.

this is the intercooler finally mounted with bolts instead of sitting on the highly technical cookie can with shims for perfect situating :)
