This my 1992 Galant Vr4 just how I bought it. It's #997/1000. Back in 1991 Japan shipped 2000 of these cars to the US and then in 1992 they only shipped over 1000 and that was it no more after that. Outwardly it doesn't look to special, but she packs some heat under the hood. Stock the Galant VR4's come with 195 hp and 203 ft/tq, which is a pretty decent start. The motor is the same as the 1g Turbo Eclipse's. With stock internals good for handling more than 450hp, She screams for more mods. Cool Thing about galant vr4's is that they are all wheel drive with a manual transmission and their turbocharged from the factory, very similar features to a WRX but it was made 10 years before the wrx even came out in the US. I really wanted to get an Eclipse GSX, but my insurance, pemco, doesn't want me to drive anything fast. Since the galant is a four door insurance is way cheap and they don't care that its turbocharged cause its in the family car catagory. I am glad I got a galant instead of an eclipse because practically nobody has one of these cars unlike civics accords and integras. I have had this car for one year now and it has gone from stock to quite a nice list of mods.
My current engine mods are:
-TRE big 16g turbo ported and clipped 10 degrees and 34mm wastegate flapper
-RRE Stainless oil feed line to the turbo
-K&N air filter(Standard Ricer Mod)
-Homemade MBC set@15psi(works awesome! only 10 bucks)
-Act 2600 Clutch

-Certified Muffler 3inch turbo back exhaust, test pipe, and a thermal research muffler(sounds Pimp, not raspy like honda's)

There's more but can't remember it all.
