the "stealth swap". i use the 2.8 intake setup w/ 3.4 injectors, amazing power difference.

Original crank pulley compared to the new underdrive crank pulley.....every little bit helps, lol

This is a pic of the air boxes after they were gutted and the shields below pulled out, yes that is the ground you can see in the lower part of the air box, it looks brownish. Nice lil increase in the upper RPMs.

heres a pic of the intake plenums and my mounting on the flow bench

heres a couple of pics of the intake plenums as they are stock w/ the amount to be cut out. not too much but enough to gain a lil cfm.

drdave88's 1988 Chevrolet Camaro drdave88's 1988 Chevrolet Camaro

its a lil hard to see but on the left you can see the area that needs to be cut out from the gasket and on the right i marked what needs to be ground out.

here are the flow numbers after the first modification. the varations in gains may be due to my porting abilities, but there is a gain in every port, and overall.
Runner 1: 161.5cfm
Runner 2: 156.2cfm
Runner 3: 152.7cfm
Runner 4: 157.4cfm
Runner 5: 156.3cfm
Runner 6: 154.5cfm

Intake/Throttle Body Assy: 424.3cfm

Heres the final results of flowing my intake after modifying it.

Runner 1: 161.7cfm
Runner 2: 160.4cfm
Runner 3: 162.0cfm
Runner 4: 166.9cfm
Runner 5: 162.9cfm
Runner 6: 165.7cfm

Intake/TB assy: 432.2cfm

Heres anoher spot i found some excess material, you can see it down in the intake on the left side of the throttle plate.

So i took off the TB and ground it off, there was quite a bit there, i cant believe i never noticed it before.

Heres some pics of before and after I polished up the throttle body a lil.
