goldychops's 1971 Triumph Spitfire so heres my spitfire , its in the works.... i got it a couple of years ago nov 2001 i think from my uncle, it was a serious pile of crap.. spent about a year fixing it up then i started driving it and got sick of it quick. british cars = cool looking garbage. anyways i got sick of it. april 2003 i pulled it outa the garage and ripped it all apart and started putting in a new engine... i decided to try out the toyota ae101 4age 20v.. its been an interesting project. the car is finaly starting to look like a car again... ill keep updating this thing as my work contines. so far these are some of the things ive done... all body work/ paint , sandblast paint frame, work on spitfire engine, remove spitfire engine, a whole lot of cutting/welding/fabrication to fit in the toyota engine in. i got the japanese 4age from a place up in sacramento that imports them.. used a t50 tranny from an old 86 corolla ive dont alot more... will add later. goldychops's 1971 Triumph Spitfire goldychops's 1971 Triumph Spitfire

chill ride like the touch with the engine transfer i at somepoint would like to buy a spitfire and swap out the engine with a chevy 454 with some modifications it should fit under the hood. but that wouldn't be happenen for a long time. keep on workin on that i can tell it'll be fun once your done.

hey samblob... some people run from problems, avoid them, dont like to deal with them, others like to step up to the plate, and fix problems... the "Spit-ota mongrel" is the best of both worlds, its the cool look without the garbage, its a hybrid, its got parts from toyotas, vw's,hondas, mazdas in it...the world is a better place because of cars like this. but were all entitled to our opinions :)
