You can look at my stereo on Page 2, and future modifications and random pictures on page 3.
Introduction This is my 88 mustang. I bought this 2.3l lx in 1999 with 57,500 miles. It was in near perfect condition. Of course, then it had chrome 14" spoke hubcaps and a 2" banana exhaust pipe sticking out the back. The picture on the right is the most recent picture I have.
Exterior appearance: I have tried to keep the "clean stock" appearance. With that, I have added stock 16" pony wheels, a single stainless 2.5" exhaust, and '2.3' emblems, which are very similar to the 5.0 emblems. I have gotten a lot of questions about where to buy 2.3 badges, and a I know that 5.0 resto has them.
Engine: The engine is a 2.3l ford with a .60/.48 T3. I am running a ported E6, mild cam, 3" dp to full 2.5" exhaust, CAI, and a LB3 with brown tops and big VAM. I have a small NPR intercooler which I will be front mounting sometime soon.
Suspension: With the lighter 2.3l over the front tires and some simple modification, I have a car that handles suprisingly well for a mustang. I have had a ton of fun running the car in solo 2 autox events lately. The ride is a bit rough on the street, but it really helps when I am on the track. Here are my mods so far: caster-camber plates, Tokico struts, 5.0 11" brakes, 99+ springs and shocks, 1 5/16" front sway bar, 3/4" rear sway bar, lots of polyurethane bushings in the front
