These are the ealiest pictures I have of this project. The body started in very fair condition with minimal rust. It was decided to strip the entire vehicle before performing the extensive amount of finishing needed.
Here is the final coat of primer before color is to be applied.
This is first glimpse of the car fully assembled with the custom Bobby Fender interior.
Lowering blocks were added to rear leaf springs and custom shortened Eaton springs to the front to create the perfect stance. The car was dropped a total 6 inches in front and near 8 inches in rear.
The original 260 cubic inch V-8 was decided to remain under the hood but not without adding many fine polished performance updates.
The two barrel intake was replaced with a four barrel Edelbrock 600 cfm. A high flow polished water pump was added as well as a conversion from the mechanical fuel pump to electric. A Comp Cam with solid lifters was stuffed into the block with Pete Jackson timing gear components spinning it round. The steel radiator just recently cracked and after debating between going aluminum decided to simply recore.
