Update 1/07/04 I have fuel&temp gauges installed now. Also got a factory ground effects kit from wrecked 84T/A and 87 Firebird.Rear bumper and rear quarter fender pieces installed.I'm not going to go around the front with ground effects. Also put down downpayment on a "posi"traction rear differental with disc brakes.Removed a complete wiring harness for power windows/doorlocks/mirrors,from a 91 firebird, but dont have power connections sorted out yet.I might just wire the locks&windows myself and skip power mirrors.I hope to order the new "Energy Suspension" bushings, end links, ect to install with new differential.I am going to keep my 2.8 under the hood for the forseable future.Nothing wrong with v8s if you have the money, butI am going to make this cars HANDLE in the turns!!!
UPDATE 3/27/04
I had to replace entire dash wiring because of a short in park lights.I added a relay and all parts needed to have "power"trunk hatch and dash switch.I also have added relay and dash switch for rear defroster.I will get me a hatch with defroster on it.I got another dash face from a salvage car that DID NOT have factory gauges and cut me a new face to accept only 4 AUTO METER gauges, insted of 5 gauges. In my neck of the woods, cars without gauge clusters are HARD to find, and Ive seen a lot of salvage firebirds.I have a rear view mirror with the map lights in it.I also have a overhead console from a 85GTA,i also added a drivers side power seat from the same GTA.I also swaped my doors for the doors from a '90 firebird witch had power windows and locks.I figured it was easier to swap entire doors, than add all the hardware to mine.the new doors are red and in better shape, and I need new paint anyway.I also now have power mirrors which are rare on regular Firebirds.Every thing is installed and working, but I need a new mirror switch.I have the rear differental from the same GTA which I will install next.It is a 3.27 ratio.I have all new bushings to install with rearend.I will clean everything up and paint all parts.I will get new rotors to.All the new bushings are ENERGY SUSPENSION bushings I got from JEGS.I cut Console face for power mirror switches and mirror switch myself .MY window switches are side by side, with mirror switch beside of them.
