just to let those of you who do come back every now and then to have a look to see if anything has changed, yes it has alot.
the 360 engine didn't last ten miles after the rebuild so i bought another 350 from a local american specialist near here at the cost of ?1000.
it was supposed to have been rebuilt but was done very badly and when it warmed up all oil presure was lost.
took it back and they fitted a new oil pump and said that was the problem, so it went back in and guess what it was just the same.
i had been ripped off and the guy has now sold the business (which i wont name so as to be fair to the new owners as they seem very good so far) so i have a very expensive garden ornament now.
then i bought another 350 off of a guy on ebay. it turns out he has a american car breakers and dealers in ashford, kent.
the engine was out of a chevy blazer and turns out to be a 345hp HO engine and this one runs fine, thank you phil (he's the the nice man i got it from). i also bought a new transmission from ebay but the forward clutch has gone so its coming out to be totally overhauled (if only chip foose lived in england!!!! ).

will add more pics soon and let you know when its back on the road. thanks for looking and i hope you like my car, i drove it for 2 weeks and it has sat doing nothing for 2 to 3 years but i love it and am determined to get it back on the road (after all it has cost me about ?6000 for 2 weeks driving! would you give up?)

please now go to page 12 to see what new things are happening to my car!!!!!

the car is a 350ci bored out to 360, it has 4 bolt mains, flat top high compresion pistons and rings, high lift sports cam, high intensity lifters, sports pushrods, high presure valve springs, the largest stainless valves you could get, new bronze valve guides, new arp rocker posts, an edelbrook performer rpm inlet manifold, 600 4 barrel holley and large chrome pancake filter on top.

1066firebird's 1983 Pontiac FirebirdTHE CAR IS OFF THE ROAD AT THE MO DUE TO A BIG END SHELL SPINNING BUT AS SOON AS ITS BACK ON THE ROAD I WILL POST SOME MORE PICS TO SHOW ITS FULL GLORY. THE GUY I BOUGHT IT OF DID TELL ME TO BE A BIT CAREFULL AS IT WAS "A BIT LAREY" HIS WORDS NOT MINE. I SOON FOUND OUT HE WAS RIGHT AS I DIDN'T HAVE TO TRY TO LOOSE THINGS THEY JUST DIDN'T STAND A CHANCE.
1066firebird's 1983 Pontiac FirebirdI DID DO A 0-6O ON ONE OF OUR LOCAL ROADS AND ONCE IT GOT TRACKSHON WE MANAGED IT IN JUST OVER 4 SECONDS.APPARENTLY IT WILL DO 120MPH IN SECOND BUT IHAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT YET AS 2 WEEKS AFTER GETTING IT THE BIG END SHELL SPUN. BUT THE NICE GUYS AT REEL STEEL IN UXBRIDGE ARE SORTING THAT FOR ME SO IT SHOULDN'T BE LONG.
MORE UPDATES AS AND WHEN THEY HAPPEN

Nice lookin firebird its really clean, i have an 88 Firebird with Pontiacs worst engine they ever produced in my opinion, the 2.8L. I am looking to convert the motor to a 350 from a 70 camaro and ive had people tell me goin computer fuel injection to a carborated v8 isnt a good idea also that it will not pass emmissions, i was just wonderin how smooth or rough your conversion went for you and how much of a difference it made it the car's performance

Dude, your car rocks but after all the engine mods you put on the stock exhaust manifolds! Please for everyones sake put on a set of shorty headders and a 2 and a half inch flowmaster exhaust and gain yourself 30 horses. And don't forget the K&N air filter!!!
