My Dad and I have been working on his
'68 F-100 Ranger shortbed.
He has owned it since 1973.

The truck has been repainted the original color: 2-tone blue/white with
blue interior.

The truck was originally a 3 speed manual column shift.

It now has a toploader 4 spd. with Hurst floor shift.

It has a 390 CID FE Big Block, .030 oversize bore, 10:1 CR, Healthy Hydraulic cam, 390 GT heads, Ford factory aluminum medium low riser intake, Holley 735 cfm mechanical secondary carb-originally for a '69 428 Cobra Jet (he bought that and the original cap swap kit in 1973 over the counter at a Ford dealership), Hooker Comp headers, 2.5 inch stainless pipes are on the way aling with an X-pipe and 2 chamber Flowmasters.

Rear is 9 inch, 31 spline posi.
No A/C, No P/S.

Updated pics as of 1/4/05 below.

What an amazing Comet. I just posted mine, if you want to take a look. Unfortunately I might need a hand getting parts, the poor Comet got written off.
