Hello Camry fans. I am the proud owner of a 1998 Toyota Camry LE American Edition. Curently I'm a 20 year old telecommunications major at ASU. My car had a system in it before but some components had been stolen and left me with 1/2 a system. So I decided now was a better time than any to redo the entire thing from top to bottom. So far most of the system is done except for the sub enclosure, but I still don't know what type of subs I will put in. Take your time and look around, if you have any questions about the fabrication of certain component please email me. AND DONT FORGET TO SIGN MY GUESTBOOK, and VOTE FOR ME

Here is the driver's side kick panel after its first layer of glass. The mounting rings were cut from 5/8 MDF and held in place with plumber's strap and hot glue, then wrapped in fiberglass cloth. I recommend using actual fiberglass cloth instead of grill cloth or fleece material because the cloth is VERY porous and saves you from fiberglassing in a layer of Dynamat if you used fleece of grill cloth.

This is the passenger's side kick all finished with carpet and drivers. The carpet came from autozone and was kinda hard to stretch over the pod because of the wierd shape. I choose a McIntosh 5 1/4 Poly double stacked midrange and a McIntosh 2 Inch Wide Dispersion Soft Dome Tweet

Here is the passenger side kick panel installed in the car. I had to trim the door trim piece to fit around the pods.

Here is the driver's side pod installed. The door trim piece also had to be modified to fit around the new kick panels. The stock 6 1/2 opening in the door was filled with a Planet Audio 6.5' Midbass driver. I would take a picture of it but dont feel like taking the door off for you to see it.
Well thats it for the front stage of the car. After listening to it for the first time and make some minor EQ adjustments, these speakers totally kick ass. The imaging is perfect and the soundstage is so wide, its crazy. The front speakers are powered by a Planet Audio REM4300(75x4) The signal is sent from the amp through Planet Audio 3-way passive crossover networks and then up to the 6 speakers in the front...Go on to page two to see the amp rack and other goodies...
