I have not had the time to create my own page on my Comcast server, so here is a little something to get going.

Welcome to my temporary home on the net for my car!

Here is my 86 Monte Carlo SS. Car was repainted 3 years ago and all of the rust in the body has been repaired with sheetmetal. This was taken when i still had the stock tailpipes on it.

The business end: a 94 Cadillac Fleetwood LT1, which is the same motor as in the Impala SS's and Caprice 9C1 cop cars. I reused the stock wiring harness and underhood fuse box. I also rebuilt the motor completely, as i picked it up off of eBay. Here are some of the specs on it:

-Stock cylinder heads with some work, new seals, seats, etc. A little was shaved off of the deck surfaces.
-Stock roller cam
-Stock intake and Throttle Body
-Melling standard vol oil pump
-New Water Pump
-New Optispark distributor
-MSD 8.5mm spark plug wires
-AC Platinum spark plugs
-Camaro 1LE intake elbow with homeade pipe and K&N filter
-Hooker 2466 shorty headers, ceramic coated
-B&M Supercooler for the engine oil
-Much more that i cant think of rite now

The computer is under the air filter in the stock Caddy computer brackets. The one i got with it was cooked so i ordered one programmed from a guy in NJ who reprogrammed a 95 Camaro PCM with an Impala program. Works perfectly.

Had to make the bracket for the Power Steering reservoir. The stock Caddy lines were the perfect length and right thread sizes for the SS steering box!

Here is the underside shot. I used the 4L60E transmission, which is shifted by the PCM. I had it rebuilt and had them throw in a 2000 stall torque converter. Also a B&M supercooler is up there too.
The exhaust is custom with flanged cats to allow easy swaps of the test pipes he also built for it. I think he also used a Dr. Gas X pipe. The mufflers are Hooker Aerochambers, with Torque Tech 2-1/2" tailpipes. Some other specs while we are here:

-8.5" Grand National rear, 3.42 posi, POR-15'd
-BMR Fabrication boxed lower control arms, adjustible uppers, combo poly/rubber bushings
-KYB shocks all around
-S10 manual brake wheel cylinders
-GN driveshaft cut for 4L60E, HD U-Joints
-G-Force crossmember, Energy Suspension tranny mount

Thanks for stopping by!

hey very nice work. I picked up an SS 2 weeks ago and it came with the tired but running 305. Do you recommend rebuilding the stock motor or swapping in a 350? tia.

Good looking ride. I am installing a Lt1 in my 87 SS and was wondering how connected the Lt1 harness with original harness.
Thanks Jake
