I rebuilt a transfer case and stuck that in along with an Aussie locker for the rear axle late in '05. Since then it has been sitting in storage. I just got it back home and am preparing to make it my daily driver. It was having issues starting so I rebuilt half the ignition system and the new starter did the trick. It's running like a champ now. My biggist project was painting it befoe I move to NC in may '07. It was a lot of work stripping it all down, treating the rust, painting the dash and seats, etc. It got done though. I quit my job a week early just so I can commit the requisite time to the task.
BTW: I don't know how to change it on here, but it's an '89 not an '88. (but i wish it was a '91+ with EFI)

I built a snorkel in May '05 after sucking a bunch of water into the engine a few days earlier. Luckly she survived and now it shouldn't ever happen again.
By the way, that is not my finger. The automatic lens cap on the camera was stuck.
I've spent a lot of time working on my jeep since I bought it, but the vast majority of that time has been spent on repairs and maintenance. The only real modification I've done myself thus far was adding a 2" body lift. Hopefully this will stop the tire rubbing while articulating. I also stripped out the seats, carpet, center consul, and everything else so i can herculine the tub, but one of the passenger seat mounts was rusted and ripped out leaving hole in the body, i was busy cutting that section out and welding a new piece in, and finally finished with the herculiner in August. I'm also replacing the steering column because one tiny stupid little piece connecting the ignition clyinder to the ignition switch broke, and noone sells this one piece.

I purchased my Jeep on November 11, 2003. A friend of a friend had purchased it one month before and planned on building it up himself, but he needed some money, so he turned around and sold it to me. In the time he had it, a number of improvements were made including:
 Camo paint job
 New breaks- front and back
 Rear wheel cylinders
 Oil pump
 Rod bearings
 Main bearings
 Oil pan gasket
 Rear main seal
Head gasket and some other gaskets
 Front axel u-joints
All front to back drive shaft u-joints
Four new shackles that are 1.5 over stock
 Transmission mount
 Cylinder seals
New exhaust system (i've since realized that it goes from the header to a glass pack and straight back with no cat or muffler)
 Tune up
It came with 31 Super Swampers
This is what she looked like when I bought her.
This is her now. Not that much different.
