Okay, everyone, here's my Miata page. My fiance Nancy and I bought her in December 2001 when we were living down in Charleston, SC (the picture to the right was taken on an excursion to Edisto Island) and brought her up to West Virginia when we moved here.
We've recently joined the Buckeye Miata Club, because we're Ohioans at heart (although we're NOT Buckeyes - we're Bobcats) and we like to visit our families when we cruise over to Columbus to attend various BMC events. One of mine and Nancy's favorite things to do is autocross. This picture is of me and our friend Matt waiting in the staging area for our next stab at the track and racing-god immortality.
Zoom-zooming around the track is a complete BLAST, and we've met a bunch of great people through the BMC. In October, we met up with twenty or so other BMCers and took a drive through the Ohio Amish country. The weather was PERFECT and we had more fun than should be legal.
I've even spent a little money to buy some magnetic paper and made some, in my opinion, quite cool numbers for my racin' days. They were incredibly easy to make, and a lot of fun. On their maiden voyage, I raced as 63cs and my brother, Kevin, raced as 36cs. Believe it or not, Kevin's and mine best times of the day were exactly the same - down to the hundreth of a second! Oh well, I'm sure next time a clear winner will be annointed. Take a look at the next picture down to see the magnets a little better...
Oooooooo...pretty!
So far that's it, but there will be more to come so stay tuned...
