Hi and thanks for checking out my page! This is a nice example of stock 1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye.

I first want to say thanks to my family, especially my wife, who made this car possible. Also to the original owner (a real good guy) who kept all the documentation, took good care of this car, and spent a lot of time talking to me about the cars history. I'm going to keep the car mostly stock as it is mostly original. Will be just doing a light restoration, to make it a nice daily driver. (Little time: 3 kids, ages 4, 3, and 6 months).

This is a 1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye (Date of manufature 8/17/71) that I picked up from the proverbial "barn in New Hampshire". It's hard to find old muscle cars in the Boston, MA area, because most are rotted out.

I bought this car from a guy who bought it from the original owner about 2 years ago. He had other projects going on so he sold it to me. That's the original vinyl roof!

The original owner kept the car for 30 years, just maintaining it with stock parts. The engine is original and has never been apart, matching #s. The carb needs lots of work after been off the road since 1987. As far as I can see after revving it up there's no smoke from the exhaust. Needs a good tune up!

According to the original owner (a real good guy) this is the original color (it's been painted a few times) called "Super Blue" (Code=TB#). It's sort of like a real strong baby blue. Similar to Basin Street Blue/Petty Blue.
Check out the dash cover repair with the funky 70's fuzzy stuff. I'm afraid to see what's under it! It's a fact that mice have spent more time behind the wheel of this car than the guy I bought it from!

Yes, that is the original mileage: 106,825.5 miles. The factory tach, oil pressure and voltmeter still work but the fuel and temp gauge don't.
Check out the hi-tech 70's 8-track with AM/FM. The car still has the original AM only radio in the dash.

Here’s the original Vehicle Invoice from Mac Kenzie Motors in Manchester, NH. They used type writers back then. Notice the typo for the year: 197u1. It’s a Kia dealership now, I think.

I plan to keep the car stock since it's so close to stock now. I even have the original steel wheels and hub caps!

Quickie update on July 13, 2005:

I raked the leaves!!! (See first pics!) Have the interior out to redye panels, TQ rebuilt, tune-up done, fluids changed, removed racing stickers original owner put on (didn't have those parts any how!), refinished set of Magnum 500 rims from a 1970 Road Runner, 14"x6", 205/70R14 up front, 225/70R14 in back, found set of Challenger quad exhaust tips from a '71 R/T and original '71 Go-Wing "gull wing style" spoiler to refinish and install!!! Little time to do stuff; 3 kids getting bigger!!! Will set up page with updates when time allows! Thanks! Phil.
