Engine/Drivetrain

The car now has a 5 speed 1980 G31 turbo transmission, synchros are in much better shape and the car can now cruise comfortably at 150km/hr.

The engine has been through three head gaskets since I've bought it. Very high cylinder pressures for a 924. Most of my focus on the engine so far has been trying to make it as reliable as possible. Only real performance additions since getting it would be a more powerful coil and a better air filter. Next step is a Megasquirt EFI conversion. I'll most likely be sticking with the stock ignition system for now, and going to solid state ignition later on.

Picked up a header for cheap, working on a new 2.25" exhaust system with a collector length of around 32" and a no loss rear section. Muffler choice will likely be a Borla rear silencer and a bullet muffler where the cat should be, complete with heatshield so it looks like a cat.

Nice car, If everything goes right I'll have one this afternoon! Oh and about your head gasket problem, Do you run it hard or is the head a little warped?? I would like to know since I tend to drive hard.... Oh and anyone who is worried about what rims look like before a car is rebuilt is a tard.
