NEW UPDATES AS OF Sept. 8th 2004.
*******************************************************************************************************
This page now serves as a memorial to my project. I recently sold the car. While it ran just fine before, started it up one day and the main bearings from what I gather had gone bad. With the money invested so far, it was no longer worth my time and effort to continue this project. I do hope to purchase another cadillac at some point - probably in better condition and post its updates to a new page. Thanks for checking but I think this is the last update for awhile.

This is the 1970 Cadillac I purchased off an internet site I stumbled across one day. I paid 400 bucks for it. It had run at one point and well from what I understand. A co-worker helped me bring it back on a tow dolly and a Range Rover. Even for the Range Rover, it struggled to pull the car. We were going over mountains with 4MPG.
This is one of the pictures I first received of the 1970 Deville parked in the back of an old house down in Crescent City, CA. I drove with a co-worker from Portland, Oregon to pick up the car.
Here is a shot of the interior of the car. Looked pretty decent except it smelled of mildew.
There was some "sore" spots on the car. I later started to realize, while it looked good... body wise... it had been bondo'd in a few areas. I had considering doing a good restore but decided against it and would just fix it up, enjoy it, and sell if for another Cadillac.
Some more rust behind the fender wheel wells. On both sides.
Here is a picture of the powerhouse. The person whom had purchased it before me was planning on pulling the motor and putting it in his Camaro. It never happened.. and he decided to sell it.
Here is a picture of the backend of the car. Really is decent shape. The trunk was pretty rusty. Again, I decided to for-go the "expensive restoration" for a more conservative restoration.
An interior shot of the dash. Pretty crappy if you ask me. I pulled off the cover and it was bady damaged. I cleaned it up a bit on page 2.
