This is my 1982 Dodge Ramcharger Royal SE. It has a 318 V8, with an Edlebrock Preformer Intake and 4bbl Carb.
I have no clue about the quarter mile or 0-60. The speedometer tops out at 85 so I'm not sure what the top speed is. It's a real cruiser. It has very high gearing for highways and they suck so I never bothered with quarter mile and 0-60.
Dad (Tiger) & I rebuilt the motor in this beast to run great. I recently had a friend, Shawn Bennett, do my exhaust for me. I had a set of headers, dual exhaust, and two 40 Series Flowmasters put on. Now not only does it run great but it also sound great.
~The truck started as a $300 bargan.
~I got the carb free.
~I got the headers and the new intake for $150.
~My CD player was only $100 from Circut City. I got a discount because they told me it would be free because it was the floor model and they didn't have that one any more, but some how found one.
~ I just got 4 Sony Xpload Speakers. I got them real cheap at Wal-mart. Word to the wise....two come in a box.... HA HA!
Any way I got my brother Trav to put them in. He love's that.
Sorry to the guy I bought it from. It was so rusty, but had few holes. Most of the rust was surface only. The entire roof, most of the hood, and the rocker pannels were the problems. It had some chrome trimming all over and I ditched that. It had been two tone red & white. I have pictures of this but not formatd for computer yet. (IE they are photos...)
Now it's a glossy Victory Red. I got all the body work done at Quigley Motor Co. I work here so I could put it in the body shop. It cost me close to $5,000. Thanks to Zane Writer! He did a number on it!!
Next I want to put a lift on it. Dad again will be a big help in this. He is a 4x4 wiz. I have Tuff Country springs & Skyjacker shocks.
Then I'd like to finish the inside. Right now it looks bad. A huge 300 some pound dude drove it and the seat is beyond shot and the carpet on the driver's side is wore down to the metal. I will most likely take out the front carpet and get some better seats. It has a few things I need to do yet but till then...
I love this truck and wouldn't part with it for the world.
