>>>>>>April 11, 2004 Finally put the Medium Parchment Carpet on the boxes. Here is a picture of them against the second row instead of the third row so that I can have bass as well as storage space for groceries, etc. at the same time! However, if I want to use the third row, all I have to do is slide the boxes back to the rear of the truck, and put the third row up. GENIOUS! I also finally got the back-up camera that has a matching rear-view replacement mirror with a 3" screen built into it. I will have pictures of that installation soon...>>>>November 12, 2004Finally got around to finishing the second generation box design for Da X. This time, I wanted to go with something that would fit behind the 3rd row, was easy to remove, and looked great. This option has the amp and 2 digital 1Farad capacitors flush mounted in a box adjacent to the sub box. In a couple days the Med. Parchment carpet should be in so that it will match the interior exactly. Here are the pics...Here's what the amp and capacitors look like flush mounted into the box.The box for the subs. Here is what the two boxes look like next to each other. There are the same dimensions (except for length) so that they will look better from the rear. The second pic is what they look like in the truck. Here are a couple pics of the amp and capacitors in operation. As you can see, one of the lights on the amp's built in meters went out, but it still looks good. Here are some night pics.** NEXT UP ****Currently, im waiting on a back-up camera that has a matching rear-view replacement mirror with a 3" screen built into it to arrive. Once I get that, Im gonna install a 7.2" monitor somewhere in the dash and hook up a Blaupunkt DVD-ME3(DVD,CD,CD-R,CD-RW,VCD,MP3,& TV TUNER!) to both of them. I also plan on tinting the windows soon (15% the front two, limo the rest).>>>>April 7, 2004Made some upgrades to 'Da X'. So far I have installed a custom box holding 2 10" MA Audio Synergy Series Competition Subs with 240 ounce double stack magnets! The subs are powered by a MA Audio HC504 high current 4ch. amp running at about 500W RMS x 2 @ 1 ohm! Below are pictures of the box's construction and the installation of the wires. I also installed a switch near the driver's seat so that I can turn the subs off for regular factory listening (which sounds pretty damn good by itself cause it's a Bose system with a factory sub). I also just got a set of the Quick-Snap Window Deflectors from AVS. They have the same smoke color as my front Bugflector. This is how everything looked in the beginning... It has begun!Taking off the first rear panel, A pile of all the paneling and dash, and a pic with all the panels off. They were a b*tch to get off. Notice the butchered dash!Letting the silicon sealant dry before putting on the back of the boxHere is the box sitting in the car. Notice how it fits nicely BEHIND THE THIRD ROW! Who says you can't have a bad ass box a-n-d a third row? Still needs Medium Parchment carpet to match the interior though.Image with third row up and rear door closed. The box was made to exactly fit the space between the door and the third-row, so there is absolutely NO MOVING/SLIDING WHAT-SO-EVER! Helps a lot with the vibration too! Ill prob. dampen the rear hatch door anyway though. Here is the amp-rack mounted to the backside of the box. Soon to be covered with a top panel so the amp looks flush mounted and you only see the label on the capacitor, all other wires/distribution blocks will be hidden. Here is a pic of the 6-Dish In-dash CD Player and the switch for the subs. The switch is near the bottom left of the picture. When it is engaged (subs on) there is a red light that reminds me to turn it back off when I get out the truck.(dont want the battery to die!)Here are some random pics now that the window and hood delfectors are installed. I just washed it too! Look at dem tires shine!NEXT UP: Tint Windows & Install Video System *plan on having this done by late May>>>>>January 11, 2003Decided on the definite audio/video upgrades:-Clarion ProAudio VRX935VD DVD/CD/MP3 Receiver with In-dash 7" Color LCD Monitor accompanied by a Clarion TTX7501z CeNET TV Tuner (OR) the Pioneer P7500 7" In-dash DVD player-(2) Clarion VMA7194 7" Wide-Screen Headrest LCD monitors-Clarion OHM153 15.3" Wide-Screen Flip-Down color LCD thin monitor-JL Audio 500.1 Amplifier or Rockford Fosgate Power 1051S Amplifier -(2) JL Audio 12W6v2 Subs or (2) Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1d Subs in custom box-(2) Rockford Fosgate Power CPCD10-03 Digital 1F Stiffening Capacitors-4 gauge power/ground wiring============================================================================What up CarDomain.
