On October 8th 2004 I placed a bid on a 2002 Honda RC-51 RVT1000R. I won the auction with a bid of $6200. The bike included extras such as sato titanium bonzai pipes, a corbin seat, powercommander PCIIIr, throttle meister, and 2 years left on the extended warranty. The owner lived in Chadwick Illinois and agreed to deliver the bike 200 miles away to my home for an additional $100. On Sunday October 10th at approximately 4PM I took possession of the Motorcycle. I have since had a smile that extended from ear to ear.
Here are the origional owners pictures for the Ebay auction.

Here are the pictures I took the first night I had her home.

My helmet Pics!!! I started off with a white Simpson Super Bandit helmet and painted it metallic silver. Then I masked off the areas I wanted to remain metallic silver and painted a layer of red. Then I took a side pic of the motorcycle and photoshopped out the wings and printed them onto sticker sheets. I cut the wings out and applied the sticker. I then masked off the surrounding areas and shot it with a coat of black. I also painted the front black to resemble the front of the bike. I then photoshopped up some stickers for the front and the back of the helmet and applied them. These photos were taken with one coat of clear. I am going to apply 4-5 more coats of clear then I will wet sand it. After that I plan on applying 4 more coats and repeating with the wet sanding and will continue with polishing until I get a super deep finish. Enjoy.
Right
On October 25th I purchased frame sliders off of Ebay for $55 + $8 for shipping.
On November 10th I bought an Icon Bling Jacket for $260.
On January 3rd 2005 I purchased an undertail with LED taillights and integrated turn signals off of Ebay for $150 + $10 for shipping.
On February 20th I bought a pair of Icon Timax gloves for $85 from newenough.com.
On February 28th I installed the undertail and discovered that I will need an intigrator kit for the taillights to work properly. First I tried to use 2 relays to do the job but the turn signals didn't have enough juice to kick the relays so I was forced to purchase a premade kit.
On January 29th I ordered an M.D. Wright integrator off of ebay for $30 shipped.
On January 30th I finally installed the frame sliders.
On February 3rd I received and installed the M.D. Wright integrator kit. It works great. It has a flashing brake light option but I turned it off because it looked cheesy. I made a custom license plate mount with a new light. I bought a 6" white neon light and installed it in the license plate frame.
It is starting to get warm out. It was 42 degrees out today so I think I am going to quit modding the bike and start riding. The next things I will be doing to the bike are doing a 520 swap with 15/41 sprokets and then new tires.
