In 1996 I wanted this to be my next car.

andy329's 1997 Mazda Protege

This is how it looked at its debut at the Custom Car Show.

What follows is the development from when I first got the car to how it currently looks.

The day I got the car (January 28, 1998) I changed the stock 15" rims to 16" DTM KS-05 rims. On the right is the JDM turbo diesel hood with the hood scoop.

The Indiglo Gauges (day & night)

Two different looks in early and the latter part of 2000. Notice the 17" Ace Alloy rims (that's the gasoline boy wondering when he'll ever own a car like that) and back to the 16" DTM's on the right.

This is how it last looked before the accident that made me change the color.

The not so stock interior of a Mazdaspeed with the MS steering wheel and shift knob. Those are leatherette seat covers. On the right is a closer look at the hood scoop.

The stock B6 engine with braided hose sleaves, red powder coating and touches of chrome. The Mazdaspeed strut bar, oil filler cap and radiator cap and Simota cone filter and intake.

This ends the first chapter in Mr. Blue's life that happened May 1, 2002.
