All in all, the cold air intake was pretty easy to do. Mac Performance did a good job of suppling everything needed in thier kit. The only complaints I have is one of the hose clamps for the large rubber fitting was barely big enough to fit around it and the air filter is hard to install. It would be great if the hole in the filter was off set. On a scale of 1 through 5, five being the most dificult, I give this installation a 1

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangHere's a quick shot of my engine compartment with the stock air intake.

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangThis is everything that came in the box from Mac Performance.

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangHere is the factory intake. The only parts you have to keep is the mass air flow sensor and the wire harness.

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangMake sure to remove the cats for less flow restriction, hehe

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangAt first I thought they sent me the wrong intake because the mass air flow sensor looked differant in thier instructions. That's because it's hidden inside the factory air box

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangMy studly husband Chris shows you what the mass air flow sensor looks like when you remove it from the factory air box

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangThen you have to remove it from the backing plate so that you can bolt it on to the new front intake tube

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangThen remove the filter box from the fender well

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangThe factory air intake removed. Now I can start my cold air intake installation

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangFirst install the fender plate

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangNext, install the throttle body tube

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangBe sure to use the MAF gasket that comes in the kit when you bolt the MAF to the front intake tube. Also, there is a second hole with a gromit in the tube for an air temp sensor. My model year doese not use the second hole, so be sure to remove the gromit and install the plastic plug that comes in the parts bag provided by Mac before you install the front intake tube.

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangNow I re-connect the wire harness to the mass air flow sensor

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangAnd the other end of the wire harness to the cars computer.

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangYou have to remove the plastic barbed sleeve to connect the breather hose to the Mac intake tube

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangIt's a tight fit, but Mac Performance positioned it just right, Thanks Mac

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangHere's a shot up inside the fender well. You can see how the air cleaner attaches to the front intake tube. What a pain in the ass it was to get it on correctly and tightend down, thanks Mac, lol

silverbullet4's 2003 Ford MustangHere's a shot of the engine compartment with my new Mac Performance cold air intake. The blue rubber fittings that came with the intake system looked so good, it got me motavated to add a few more blue goodies. Doesn't it look HOT? Hey Hotrod, Scott B from the supersix Forums, I was surprised to find your car, how've you been? Your Car looks great & I like the mod's you've done! I recently started some mods again on my 1995, the most recent being Bullitt Rims & an Ebay Cold Air Kit. Bullitt Fuel Door is on order, I'll post some new pics once I get a chance. My little Girl is ten months old now & time sure flies!! TTYL & take care!
