This is a 1991 Silverstone Metalic Mazda Miata.

This car has been to track days at Mazda Raceway (Laguna Seca), Thunderhill, and Sears Point (Infineon). I have also enjoyed previous years of autocrossing with the San Francisco Region SCCA. My favorite back country road is Mt. Hamilton between San Jose and Paterson, CA.

The car has extensive Racing Beat(RB) suspension parts, including RB anti-sway bars and adjustable end links. Tokico 5-way adjustable shocks with stock springs help maintain the handling. The chassis bracing includes a RB transmission tunnel brace, a Flyin' Miata (FM) strut tower brace, and Cannon rear subframe brace. The car also has a FM lightweight flywheel with an upgraded 1.8L clutch. An aluminum dual core FM radiator and oil cooler/relocation kit was added a few years ago.

Recently, a Jackson Racing High Flow cat was installed. After just that one change, I noticed how the exhaust sound became more pronounced, yet not at all intrusive.
The interior has a set of custom vent rings first designed by M-Roadster Performance. A polished aluminum Voodoo E-Brake and shift knob set off the interior.
The exterior was recently repainted, and Mazda "R" front and rear spoilers and deck lid are also fitted.

The wheels are 205/45/16 Dunlop SP9000 on TR Motorsport rims with painted centers and polished lip. If you've seen the latest Racing Beat catalogue, you'll see these rims. A Robbins top with plastic window and a Robbin's tonneau cover complete the look.

These pictures show the Hard Dog Deuce Stainless Steel Side Mount Roll Bar with race belt tabs. This bar is very unobtrusive, the seat belts don't bind, access to the window zipper is as if the bar isn't there. Since it's a double hoop, the top retains the same motion to open and close as if it weren't there.

I really enjoy my tonneau, and had it modified to fit the Hard Dog Deuce. Watson Brother's in Modesto did the sewing, and it turned out fantastic. The owner of the upholstery shop is long time friends with the owner of the company who made my tonneau. Watson Brother's contacted Robbins for the same material used in making the tonneau which resulted in a very clean modification.
