This is a 1974 Plymouth Cricket ,it was purchased by my Wife on Oct/3/74 and has been with her since. The car currently is powered by a 1600 cc. engine and a five speed manual trans as per Plymouth specs , it was originally a four speed car , however , this winter it is getting a MAJOR drive train overhaul in the form of a 4.3 Chevrolet V6 , 4L80E four speed auto trans and a 8" Ford rear end . We are also updating the front suspension to a Mustang II set-up. It's been a long time in planning and now that the ball is rolling it is my plan to post updates as the project goes along . these are some pictures of how the car looks now and one of it in it's original color . Since my last post I have found an alternet route to take with the repowering of the Cricket which doesn't require as much cutting up as originaly planned . I am now going with a 2.6 turbo set-up out of a Mitsubishi Starion , which is pretty much a bolt in and allows me to keep the stock suspension up front and also gives me a 5spd trans to boot . I will still be going with a Ford 8" rear end . Wish me luck !

Hi!!!That's an incredible niece piece you have there...Listen, i have the only mitsubishi colt lancer 1977 in Colombia. This model wasn't sold in my country. It was personally imported from japan by its first owner. Now, i'm kind of trying to fix it up...but it's impossible to find parts here in Colombia. As i have some friends in USA i could ask them to buy some parts if i knew where i could find them. I'm looking for the silver (chrome) ring around the headlights and also that frontpart (grill) between the headlights... If anyone could give at least a clue where to get them, would be really helpful. My email is alejogom@yahoo.com
