Engine and Transmission

Engine Mods

Thunder-Bird 2.3l engine swap--
Cost:Free (previous owner)

Cold air intake w/K&N cone filter--
Mounted in fender.
Cost:Free (previous owner)

Increased Boost-- 17 psi
Used the yellow butt connector trick to bypass the boost control solenoid, increasing boost to 17 psi.
Cost:Close enough to free!

Turbo Housing--
Replaced turbo housing with .48 A\R housing from an automatic trasmissioned XR4Ti, resulting in faster spool-up!
Cost:Free (thanks Bill in Boulder!!)

Intercooler--
Volvo intercooler installed in front of the radiator retaining stock cooling fan.
Cost:$65 (junkyard)
Rapido intercooler tubing and bypass valve
Cost:$40 (junkyard)

Transmission Mods

None-- Stock T-9 tranny
