Congratulations to Jeff Gordon and the entire Hendrick Motorsports Dupont racing team on their third Daytona 500 victory, their sixth Martinsville victory and their fourth Talladega victory! The Drive For Five Is Alive! The Force will be with Jeff...always.
Here is the Camaro I sold. It's gone, but not forgotten. I spent a ton of money on the car, but it was all worth it. I was very sad to see her go...especially since it was my first car. I know the guy who bought it is going to take real good care of it. For my next project, I will be working on a '91 Camaro I bought from a guy in Orlando, FL. It's pretty much stock, so it'll be fun to do.
1989 Chevy Camaro. Newly rebuilt 350TPI 5.7 Liter engine bored out to a 355. It has a 150hp shot NOS kit to go with it. Rear end gear is 3.73. Car is ready for the track.
Rear tires are 275/60/15.
Front tires are 235/60/15.
It's got late model Vortec cylinder heads with a compression ratio of 10:1.
It's got a big Crane cam. It's the biggest one you can run on a TPI 350.
It's got Silvalite Pistons - 30 over.
It's got Headman Hugger Headers.
Dyno Max Ultra Flo Super Turbo exhaust. Car has an exhaust cut out under passengers side. I normally drive with it on since it's so loud. However, when I'm showing the car off, the cap is gone and it sounds awesome. It doesn't even sound like a car. It's like a lion roaring at you. I get chills just thinking about it.
I'm running the factory ECM with a '89 6-speed corvette
chip in it.
I have to say a special thanks to my good friend Robby for doing the paint. It wouldn't have looked this great had he not worked his magic on it. He and his father run an auto body and paint shop in Deland, FL called North Deland Auto Body. Let me know if you want more info about them. They do amazing work.
This is a special paint that changes colors depending on the light it's in. The actual color is called 2003 Acura NSX Long Beach Pearl Blue.
I've got pictures of the NOS kit on page five if anyone wants to see it.
God Bless Jeff Gordon.
