Hello and welcome. This page is dedicated to my current ride...a 2000 Mitsubishi Pajero GLS. As the "Pajero" name wasn't listed, I had to register it as a "Montero".

White_Falcon_M75's 2000 Mitsubishi Montero

White_Falcon_M75's 2000 Mitsubishi Montero

Purchased on the 26th of October 1999 from the Kuwaiti Mitsubishi-Chrysler Dealership, I am the first owner. She was delivered 5 days later on the 31st and features the following specifications:

General
Built In: Nagoya, Japan
Body Color: Two Tone - Mitsubishi Alamoana Green and Fraser Beige
Acceleration (0-100 Km/h): 10.5 sec.
Road Holding Index: 0.69 g
Minimum Turning Radius: 5.9 Meters - 19 Feet

Engine
Engine Model: Mitsubishi 6G72
Engine Size: 2972cc, 183 cubic inches - 3.0 liter
Engine Type: 4-cycle petrol, water-cooled SOHC
Horsepower: 186 Net HP @ 5000 rpm
Base Engine Type: V6
Torque: 33 kg-m @ 3000 rpm - 239 ft-lbs @ 3000 rpm

Brakes
Front: 15" ventilated discs (2-pot)
Rear: Drum in discs

Misc.
Maximum Towing Capacity: 680kg - 1500 lbs
Fuel Tank Capacity: 92 Liters, 24 US gallons

It is the top of the line GLS model equipped with Mitsubishi's 3.0 liter SOHC engine. She's fully equipped (ABS, Towing Package, alloy wheels, etc.) as far as this trim level goes, with the exception of passenger and side airbags, leather seating surfaces and sun-roof. Although I was very tempted indeed to opt for the sun-roof option, I couldn't make up my mind at the time of purchase as all I could think about were the seals around the sun-roof which could wear out pretty quickly. I guess I still feel a bit of guilt, but oh well! The airbags only came on the 3.5L DOHC equipped Pajeros at the time, so I didn't get those.

As far as the drive type goes, its got Mitsubishi's own selectable four-wheel-drive system, which you can find out about on page 4.
