This is my 2000 Honda Accord EX Sedan. I purchased this car at the end of the Summer of 2002. This Five Speed Manual is powered by a 2.3 ltr SOHC Honda Vtec engine that produces 150 horsepower.
This is a picture of me and the car at Somernites Cruise in Somerset, KY. The pinstripe has been removed and the entire car's surface has been clay-barred.
Now, after all the bolt-ons are installed, I'd say the car is running an honest 200 horsepower to the flywheel. This car is just a very clean, quiet machine.
AS YOU WILL SEE BELOW I DO NOT LIKE STICKERS OR DECALS ON MY CAR!!! They are horribly bad for the paint and make a vehicle totally unclean. I get alot of criticism for not advertising with stickers every little thing I've done to this car, for example, the system. Why one would want to put stickers all over a car to let everyone know what they have in it is beyond me. I simply don't want everybody knowing what I have in this car. I want this car to look as stock as humanly possible. You can put all the decals, stickers, or whatever on your car, but don't expect me to follow in your footsteps like the Lemming I am not...
The first thing I did was lower the car using German-made H&R Aggressive Lowering springs that dropped the car 2 1/4" in the front and 1 3/4" in the rear. I did it this way so the front would slope down a bit more than the rear. Now when I'm driving, the car looks level and the back-end isn't stuck straight to the ground while accelerating. I keep the front aligned with an Ingall's Camber Kit which is not needed in order to drive the car, but was a good investment in the end...
Here is a picture of the front air dam which is stock for the time being along with the aftermarket dual projector headlights I got from ProCarParts.com. If you look closely at the first picture you will see our buddy Allen who has a 1983 RX-7. His CarDomain name is clean83rx7!
The picture on the right was taken at a car show in Russell Springs, Kentucky toward the end of the Summer. If you will look at the bottom left of the picture you will notice the headlight of a 1994 Twin Turbo Targa Top Supra which is my buddy Ben's show car. THIS CAR IS THE PINNACLE OF PERFECTION AND IS USED AND DRIVEN FOR SHOW PURPOSES ONLY!!! Check it out if you can. His Cardomain name is unique94supra.
The next thing that was put on the same night as the dual projectors were the new wheels and new tires. These HyperBlack Exel TZ-10 wheels are wrapped with Wanli S-1099 215/45 ZR17" tires. The wheels are 17"x7" and are a little bit wider than factory wheels so they will come flush with the outside of the fenderwell and won't be tucked inside it like OEM wheels and tires; well worth an extra bit of money! They are a wonderful match because hyperblack wheels look exceptional on a black car and the tires really grip the pavement for smooth cornering potential. They were purchased as a set from WheelMax.com at a killer price!!!
I installed a stock 1998 Honda Accord EX spoiler, which was purchased from the guy in the Supra, on the back of the car. It's stock and completely changed the overall look of the car. From the picture on the lower left you get a very good view of the exhaust. It doesn't stick out way past the bumper of the car and isn't tilted up. It was perfect for the car and added more horsepower and gave it a very deep, low rumble.
To the right is a better picture of my wheels.
I think they are a very clean wheel at a good price that nobody had in my town. People stare at my car and usually look solely at the wheels. To this day I have never seen another car, besides on the net, with these wheels on it!!! I LIKE THAT ALOT!!!
