Stevegud1's 2004 Subaru WRX
Hi, and thanks for visiting my RedRex site. The pictures shown below are chronological, so you can see the progression of the car from Dealership to Ownership...
The car is stock at the top, but looks as it does now by the bottom of the page.
Here are a few shots a couple days after the buy. It's winter time, which seems to be a good time to get a good deal.

This is the WRX after about 3 months. Just got it all cleaned up and ready for some photos at dusk...
I had to get the front end painted already. Crappy Pennsylvania highways combined with weak Subaru paint is a recipe for disaster. Hence the Subaru stone-deflector. Volker's Auto Body did a nice job, though (Thanks, Jeff!).
I bought a new set of 17" Rota SDR wheels (Gunmetal with Machined Face, now wrapped in Hankook 225/45ZR17's. I bought the wheels from HybriDynamics in Youngwood, PA. He's the guy that made the "SUBARU" stickers for the rear doors, too (Thanks Eric!).
Performance upgrades include a COBB AccessPort, which supposedly increases the horsepower up to 40HP. The air intake was modded with the straight elbow to replace the sound resonator, and has a drop-in K&N air filter.
I replaced the stock stereo with a Sony double-din, 50W x 4, a Sony 10-disk Cd changer in the trunk, installed Sony 5-1/4" 3-ways in all four doors, and just got done installing the 10 Xplod subwoofer with the Sony amplifier.
As a small detail, I bought one of those billet aluminum front bumper trims to cover that ugly front plate bracket molded into the bumper cover.
Disconnected my Daytime Running lights. I also modded my Foglamp wiring so that they'll come on with the parking lights instead of the headlights. I found this mod in Scoobymods.com.
Finally got the guts to put some lowering springs on it (Funny how one's warrantee running out will do that). I got the TEIN S-Techs. Lowered the car pretty nicely.
Replaced the stock grille with smaller mesh, and included the lower grille area.
Did the "JDM" Tail light mod...a.k.a. "switching the sockets"
Few more photos that I liked
Keep checking back, as I have an itch to keep making this car uniquely mine. Who knows what'll happen next?
Thanks for visiting ...AND PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK...
