A WORK IN PROGRESS

DIARY OF A MODMAN

I purchased this vehicle in June 2003 and the modifications began almost immediately. I want to dedicate this web site to the evolution of this car. Some people think that it's best to leave the car stock. Others prefer to modify the hell out of them. I belong to the latter group. Many thousands of dollars later, and I'm catching up to some of my "modding" pals on LSall.com. Here's what I have so far:

It's my desire to make this 2002 Z28 worthy of the moniker "Glue Maker" I love that name! It's based on the fact that old horses are supposed to be turned into glue at the end of their useful life. So, after my car sends another Mustang to the retirement fields where it's turned into glue, the Glue Maker can resume its work. Hence the name. Hopefully, my personalized license plates will read "GLUE MAKR" (Yes, we can have 8 characters on our plates here in Ontario)

Since the car is not driven in the winter (4 to 5 months here in Canada),the odometer reads only 27000 miles (actually, it says 44000 kilometers...Canadian car,eh!). Not bad for a 3.5 year old vehicle. My American friends might be interested to see the Canadian "metric" display on the instrument cluster featured below.

For those of you who are curious, I Zaino products to protect the finish on my car. I love that "wet' look it gives. Also, I used Meguiars tire spray for the same look. (tires and wheels have been upgraded see page 11)
The car is also equipped with electronic anti-rust control. The technology has been around for years, mostly used on large ocean-going tankers. Its application to the car market, I believe, is fairly recent.
I recently purchased an SS hood off a friend on LS1tech.com. The hood is from a 98 SS. Here are some pics.
