I wanted this car when it was new...it took 16 years, but the "lust factor" is just as intense! It's mostly stock, but still a thrill. I do plan to modify the intake, exhaust and computer chip, but beyond that nothing other than adding a good soundin' stereo system, which I've already started.
The "good vibes" about the car began on the day I picked it up from its previous owner. As I was towing it on a trailer, on an interstate bypassing downtown Boston, I caught a glimpse of a black car accelerating rapidly down an on ramp, to my right. Suddenly he pulled across 3 lanes, and up behind me for a few seconds, then around to my left, in the far lane, and as he cruised by me, in his very late model M5, he gave me a thumbs up and waived...it felt good to know someone else recognized the car for its classic niche in the automobile world!
