Jon's 1997 LADA NIVA COSSACK
I traded in my 1992 Lada Samara for this little 4x4. The key features of the Niva are all time 4 wheel drive and the ability to lock the differential and choose high/low on the fly. The short wheel base is excellent for off roading, but exaggerates little bumps in the road.
My vehicle is also the only Lada Niva i have EVER seen (internet included) with the plastic skirting around the bottom. It definitely gives the vehicle a MUCH cleaner look than the traditional Niva.
Latest additions to the truck include a 6000lb Ramsey winch and a set of 215/75/15 Bridgestone Dueler M/T tires (the niva comes with 195/75/15)
