Well, hi... I'm Matt. Well, my American name is Matt. I'm in the United States Air Force, and stationed in Okinawa Japan (Kadena AB). I've been into cars my entire life... both domestic and import. I had always wanted to own a Toyota Supra, but it was just out of my price range for so long... finally... I made it to Japan where the Supra was in my grasp. I bought one and haven't looked back since...
I introduce to you the Blue Monster 2J
We've done huge modifications to the supra, including a single turbine conversion... going to the T51RSPL Turbine and a monstrous 60mm HKS wastegate, routed back into the exhaust.
It's been a painstaking process to completely build up this engine... we've changed out everything, all the way down to the pulley system, making this a completely tuned engine. We chose GReddy's anodized aluminum pulley system due to the cost and functionality. A forged waterpump was also added to compensate for the increased cooling need.
Just so you can get a good look at the engine as a whole, here's a view of the valve cover... I took the valve cover and fuse caps and had them sanded and painted starlight blue for the asthetic value. Seeing how the car is liquid Nismo blue, the colors match very well. I'm not very interested in the asthetics of the engine, as it isn't a show car, but I thought it added just a little bit of flare.
Ah, and what the hell... let's throw in a dash shot so you can see the new HKS series guages and the pivot tach.

D1 recently visited our island to hold try-outs for two open slots on their Drift Team. It was open to the public, so of course I was in attendance. Here's a few pictures from the event, just to give you a little flavor from Japan.
