Striping the painted logos.
The nose, void of the pained logo and buffed out with some cleaner wax. (Before and after)

Passenger side door logo removal in progress.

The above pictures represent about 3 hours of work. I have started off with a much more aggressive approach using 600-grit wet/dry. The 1200 was just not cutting through.
The lower portion of the body is textured, so I am stuck on how to proceed with the removal ...

11.03.03
I decided to try using acetone to remove the paint on the textured portion of the door panels.

I noticed when the acetone hit the clear-coat it bubbled and made a sticky mess. So first I used some 600-grit wet/dry sand paper to scuff the clear coat, just enough to where the red started to show through. Then bit-by-bit used the acetone to remove the paint.

Removed logo and yellow stripe from drivers side. I wet sanded down only a few layers of the paint (on the logo) first. Then used the acetone to complete the removal. The end result is much better than the passenger side.

11.06.03
Started striping the clear-coat on the passenger side door, one small section at a time. The pictures do not represent the results very well. Nonetheless I decided to post them.

11.07.03
Continuation of striping the clear on the passenger door.
First pic is where I left off yesterday; next pic is after a quick wet sand (1500 grit) before breaking out the acetone again.

After removing all the clear-coat and a little blending with 1500 grit wet/dry sand paper. I applied some ScratchX.

11.09.03
Finished removing the clear coat from the drivers side door.

The clear-coat was not coming off with the acetone, not sure why. So I am using wet/dry sand paper to remove the clear. The picture is after a round with the 1000-grit.

These pictures are after a round with the 1500-grit. I hit the primer in a few spots.
