I actually drove it for the first time today. Brought it home from the mechanic.
New pressure plate, new clutch disc, new throw out bearing, new pilot bearing, and new flywheel plus labor. I'll try to get a picture of the plate it was worn down to the rivets.
Also had new Yoko AVS ES100 mounted and balanced.

Back home after an alignment and a general inspection at the Mazda dealer, all ?in green status.?
Without the patch, with the patch (magnetic sign material). The patches go on when in public while I am in the process of removing the logos.

Two more interior pictures

While at the dealer, we looked up if any warranty work had been done. Turns out a new top was installed in '94 (nice!)

Offending clear-coat.
Many people in the Miata.net forum have said the earlier non-metallic NAs did not come clear-coated. I am theorizing then when the logo was painted on the doors and nose, they also applied a clear-coat on the doors, both front quarters and the nose because that is where all this pealing is happening.

The original Miata, My neighbors MGB (he is actually jealous!)
