1988 Saleen Mustang #573 Rebody / Tribute
I hand built my 1988 Saleen Mustang rebody out of a 1988 4 cylinder chassis (this is a 4 cylinder conversion car)! With not being able to afford a fox Saleen Mustang at the time, I bought this 4 cylinder chassis & took a few years & set out to buy all the parts that a 1988 production Saleen Mustang had on them. Parts installed include full authentic Saleen body kit, front bumper filler molding, wing, full 1988 Saleen Mustang FloFit interior, Saleen/SVO 5 lug 4 wheel disc brakes, Saleen Racecraft suspension, 1987-88 Saleen mesh wheels 16x7 front & 16x8 rear w/ 225-50-16s & the complete & correct 1988 Saleen decals & emblems. To build a clone of a 1988 Saleen Mustang to this level was not an easy undertaking. Countless hours/days/weeks/months were spent online tracking down parts. To all my friends who helped me in my parts search & paint work (& you know who you are) & the few 1988 Saleen Mustangs that have been wrecked that donated their parts. THANK YOU!!
