Update 04/08/04 : The truck is currently sold and is being purchased by my best friend. Currently it reflects 115,000 miles on it and runs like a top. I am returning to grad school and will be moving to Iowa in July. I am replacing it with a 1996-Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 5.2 liter v8. Sad day after 8 great years and almost 100k miles it's time to say good bye.
This is my 1994 Dodge Dakota that I purchased in May of 1996 with 16,000 miles on the odometer. It was built in February, 1994 in Toledo Ohio. It sat on a local dealer's lot until it was sold in the fall of 1994. I purchased it from Spitzer Dodge in Columbus where it was traded along with a Dodge Spirit for a mini van. The truck is very well equipt with the following options:
-SLT Trim which includes chrome grill and bumpers
-deluxe cloth bench with center arm rest
-Power windows and locks
-sliding rear window
-power steering and brakes
-Infinity AM/FM/Cassette stereo
-22 gallon fuel tank
-5.2 liter (318) Magnum V8
-8.25" axle with 3.55 ratio and limited slip
-towing package which includes PS cooler, external transmission cooler and larger brakes
-4 wheel ABS
-15" aluminum wheels and white letter Goodyear Invicta GL tires
I am sure I am forgetting something. The previous owner also installed a smoked bug shield, an aluminum tailgate cap and rubber bed and tailgate mat.
I have made the following changes to it during the past 8 years of ownership:
-Dakota R/T wheels with 255/45r17 BFG G-Force TA KDWS tires in September 2003
-MP/Doug Thorley Headers - Sept 2003
-Flowmaster 52552 muffler with dual tails out the side behind the rear wheels - Summer of 2000
-MP M1 2 bbl intake (install this week)
-MSD 8.5 Plug wires Summer of 2001
-Accel Coil Summer of 98
-K N drop-in air filter element Summer of 2000
-Sony stereo with Polk EX3 speakers (removed the amplified Infinity speakers)Spring 2003
-removed V8 Magnum and SLT badging Summer of 99
-Lund smoked grill inserts
-Weathertech ventshades Summer of 99
-removed black side moulding (part of SLT package)Summer of 2000
One fast Dakota...and it's an oil burner!
