SOLD
Well, I got tired of working on a Ford so I sold it and made some good money. Sad to see it go, but now it's time to work on getting my dream car, 1969 Camaro SS. Keep looking for future Camaro of mine!
New Pix of current work as of 6/7/04!
Check out page 2. More pictures I hope tomorrow, 6/9/04 cause the cam should be going in in the morning.
Quick update: Bought my cam this week along with a double roller timing chain, edelbrock intake and my MSD 6A. I was thinking of the 6AL, but I'll get a tach with rev limiter later. Englishtown Swap Meet was last weekend, 4-16-4/22, so I got the 6A pretty cheap. CJ Pony Parts provided me with the edelbrock performer rpm intake. Everything should be going on this week if all goes well. New pictures to come!
Well, the exhaust has been done for a few weeks, I have plates on it now, and I just got done working on it with one of my co-workers. As you could probably see in some early pictures, the front end was bowed in. All old Mustangs had this problem. With a purchase of about $100 from Summit, and 2 pieces later, the front end looks like it came from the factory. Hood is aligned PERFECTLY. Pictures are on the second page. Here are some pictures of it the day I bought it.
This is the good looking side. Look at my cool Cragar's!
heres the front. not too bad. at least i dont need to get another grill! Notice how the hood overlaps the left fender. Not a pretty site.
this is where the fun begins. the back has been worked on, but im going to by buying a new taillight panel and new bumpers because its just too cheap to pass up. everything else back there is in the trunk and just needs paint.
heres what i call the ugly side. not too bad, just a little wet sanding was done to the quarter.
some shots of the trunk. looks like a new gas tank was put in. you can see some of my other misc. parts that i have. nice solid trunk here. the other shot shows the inside of the front door and under the trunk lid. not too bad. i have the panels for the doors, arm rests and etc.
here is a nice original 1969 302 motor. those old blue valve covers will be gone and i will put 2 chrome covers on which are in the trunk. the air cleaner cover is all polished up now(not shown in pic). by this spring i plan on pulling the top of the motor apart, and putting in a lunati cam. its rated at 1500-5000rpm which is fine for me since its a 4500rpm motor, new lifters, edelbrock performer RPM intake manifold to match the cam and 1 600cfm holley carb. im also planning on changing the gears over, but thats a little much right now. jegs has a 4.11 set for the ford 8", but im not ready for that yet. have a lot of other work to do first. after that i will do a few misc things like msd ignition, billet distrib and whatever else i feel like wasting my money on. a lot of work, but ive got plenty of time. ill put new pics on as i get things done. i just wanna get everything back together inside before i work on the motor and such. as of right now its pushin about 220hp, so im happy with that at the moment. as time goes on we'll see what happens. tell me what you think! or if you have any suggestions or questions let me know!
This is my Mustang next to my buddy's Datsun.
New pics coming soon
