stingraye's 1986 Pontiac Trans Am

This page is about how I installed the lights into the nostrils of my RAII hood. It only took a little bit of work, and the bulbs work with my parking lights, and turn signals. I like the way they look, and it helps makes it a little different.

First I cut off the back of two extra parking lights that I had, just the part where the bulb fitting screws into it... and I took that piece and bondo'd it to the middle existing hold in the hood.

Then I cut the wiring of the sockets out of an extra tail light wiring harness I had, so I had two sockets that would fit and lock into the pieces that I just bondo'd to the hood. I wired them up to my parking lights, and to both turn signals.

Then I drilled holes up the side of the hood through the under-layer, and ran wire ties to keep the wires all together up the side of the hood, and it was all good to go!

Hey Very Very nice bird. I can tell you've put alot of work into it. I like the parking lights you put in the scoops it looks real sweet. You can get different colored parking lights too. I have a set of blue ones. I've had them in for two or three weeks and the cops haven't said anything yet. Anyways Keep up the great work. Come check out the Camaro sometime tell us what you think or any suggestions. Later, Brandon.
