The engine is unique to Subaru, although a similar (albeit more powerful) version is employed by Porsche. This is an EJ25 (?) 2.5 Liter SOHC horizontally-opposed 4 cylinder producing 165 HP and 165 lb-ft of torque at peak. It redlines at around 6000 rpm. It's mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and of course, Subaru's signature AWD system. The suspension is sport-tuned and sticks to corners like you wouldn't believe.
