Found this pic of my MDF box, Once it thaws out up here I'm gonna pull this baby out of the shed and go get my stuff metered.

The finished product, now I just gotta get some grills on it.

The damage (the first "rib" above the screw hole). when a tee nut got jammed and I had to drill the head of the screw off. my drill bit broke, and I put the broken end into the speaker. it sucks. I put RTV on the back side, it seems to hold together pretty good.

I had a bunch of air bubbles inbetween the layers, so I drilled some small holes through the outer layer of fiberglass, then I filled them with liquid nails.

almost done with the carpet.

I was messin around w/ photoshop. Now that I know it works, I'll make a better one when I finish it.
****Day 4****

Well, work is hampering the progress (stupid $$, seems like Im always needing more)
I put another layer of fiberglass on the inside, and I'm probably gonna put another layer on tomorrow, then spray it down with bedliner stuff.

In this pic you can see the mess of wires going to the control box for the leds in the roof, (page 2) thats alot of wires!
****Day 3****

Today I cut the holes for the subs, I also mounted them and tested it out. it was ok for only having 3 layers on it, but the flat part rattled like a...um...weak fiberglass enclosure. I should have put more mdf in there before putting the fleece on, I'm puttin some in along with some dowel rods right now.
I put 2 more layers on the flat part, and I also had a problem with trying to seam the 2 pieces (lower part and upper fleece part) together. I just rolled up small pieces of the woven mat and stuffed them from the inside in between the 2 parts (hopefully it dries ok in there).
Gotta go back to work tomorrow, so the progress is gonna be slowed a bit.
****Day 2 part 2****

This is the box with the fleece stuffs on it. I did'nt want to have some gay slant going toward the back, so I did alittle extra work and made it flat going back. Unfortunitly I couldnt do it with one piece of fleece. I got it as smooth as I could.

Here it is inside the trunk.
****Day 2*****

The mess from routing out the rings

The jig I made for my router to cut circles

The finished result: A ring that keeps the subs flush with the surface

The "tub" after trimming

I got the rings positioned how I want them, and now I'm trying to decide how I want the subs to face when they are in there at the end.
****Day 1*****

The prep work. a layer of tin foil to keep the fiberglass from bonding to the trunk.

The first layer of woven mat.

After the second layer and removed from the car.

My old box for the kickers, it had to go in sideways and took up just about my entire trunk, 6" on either side of the box was all I had. (2.5 cubic feet per sub plus port)
