This is my 93 Ranger. It has a 4.0 and a 5-speed trans. Lift consists of a Procomp 5 inch suspension lift and 3" body lift. National springs with flipped shackles sit out back and Procomp ES3000 shocks are used as well. Suspension travel is hovering around 15-16 inches at the back and 14 inches for the front. Tires are Procomp 33" A/T and wheels are Eagle Alloys 589's 15x8. The engine has a K@N cone intake and a Flownmaster 2.5" exhaust that dumps out under the truck. I would try to add more power but at 188,000 miles on the original unrebuilt motor I don't want to press my luck. Prerunner bumper fabbed by Tim Lewis of Pro Fab Unlimited Burbank California.
I decided to keep the truck clean and free from tasteless euro lights, stripes, or worthless clip on racing pedals. When I bought the truck it had all of that stuff tacked on to it :X But after a year and a half of owning it I have brought it up to a nice looking Ranger. Hope you like :-)
Update 4-10-2004: I removed two of the center leafs out of the leaf spring packs in the rear and put rancho 9000's in the back as well. The result: the truck sits 2 inches lower in the rear, handles a hell of a lot better and rides like a Caddy. It was well worth the hour and a half of work. Now the truck doesn't nose dive nearly as bad and looks real sharp.
Update 12-30-2004: Wow I haven't been here in a while! Well I kinda crashed the Ranger into a ditch a few months back. It tweaked the body, bumper and left fender but shes still driving :) Just turned over 192,100 miles and still runs as smooth as it did back in 88,000 mile days. It even beat a V6 Tacoma Prerunner last week :D As for the damage it's going to get fiberglass 4" wider fenders, a new prerunner bumper built, all new bushings-steering parts replaced and the body will be set back straight on the frame very soon. Im keeping it going for well over 200,000 miles!
Update 8-7-2005: Well I killed the Ranger. While traveling on the freeway going home I was hit from behind on the left rear. This caused me to lose control and flip the truck about eight to ten times before coming to a rest on the passenger side. I got thrown out and landed about thirty feet from the truck. I ended up staying in the hospital for about a week for observation and for the fact that my leg got torn open bad, but no broken bones or internal bleeding thank god. Look for the new Ranger soon!
