THE BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS

I bought the car under the impression it was fixable. Well it was kind of; the timing belt was broken at a low engine speed so I figured there was no engine damage. I dont think the girl that had it before me (SHE WAS HOT) never had the timing belt changed I think the car went 95,000 with the factory timing belt, looked like a shredded leather belt it was crazy. Well I put a new timing belt in it and it ran fine, just not right, I could never figure out what the problem was. Here is a picture of me and my dad had it down to the cogs.

Well it ran but not too good, so I only drove back and forth to school for about a month or two before she finally wouldnt run anymore. Finally after fight with that damned curse I decided Id start with another motor.

So after shopping around I finally found a great deal on a GM Crate motor for $1100 opposed to the $800 for a used one.

Waiting for it to show up I got the wrench bug so I started to pull the motor. While the motor was out I figured Id clean out the engine bay with a pressure washer Whaaa laa.

While I was in there I should have put a stall converter, but I did put in a converter seal. But the motor finally showed up, turns out the motor is a 94-95 model so there are a few difference....
1 The Alternator plug is different.
2 There are a few plugs that you dont use, there is one at the bottom of the crank pulley and the from cam tower need the oil fill used for the SFI.
3 You have you use a 94-95 3.4 Alternator. The mounting brackets are different may not look like it but they are confusing as hell. Trust me. But this is the picture right before I got started.

Still borrowing my dads truck and bumming rides from friends to work I came along this diamond in the ruff, the car Ive wanted since I was 15. 1994 Chevy Lumina Z34

I pick her up for 800 bucks, I always figured I could use a winter beat to keep the salt off my Gremlin. well since i got the Z34 i had transportation and could go out with my friends and kinda lost interest in the gremlin. Finally about april the Gremlin had enough and cursed my Z34 Grenading my tranny spiting gears broken case parts and tranny fuild everywhere on the local strip about 9:00 on saturday night.

So finally i had to get a car goin took a could days vacation from work to get my car goin and she been running ever since, only problem i;ve had so far was the torque converter bolts come loose.

This that time i;ve added alot more things to my car..
-94-96 B4U front bumper
-Spoiler
-Painted engine compartment ten repainted it stock
-Paint interior peices
-Shave arrow head on front bumper
-Debagded
-Alpine head unit
-gutted air box
-160 amp Mr. Alternator
-Optima red top
-added factory tips
-gutted cat

I will say its been very much a love hate relationship with my car. but now that she is running now i wouldn;t trade her for anything. But if anyone has any questions about swaping a 94-95 motor in the 91-93 computer let me know, or about swaping the front bumpers. i'll try to help you best of my ability, feel free to e-mail me at Pharit69@hotmail.com or in the guest book.

Whats up man? Thanks for checkin my GP out. Really like what your doing with yours, but i see you switched to a truck too. Check out mine sometime, name is rockhardchevy. Sorry it took me so long to reply, but i havn't checked my old GP page in months! Don't live near Topeka, so i havn't seen you around. I live in small town USA, about an hour north of Manhattan, close to the state line. The 250r hood was an easy mod on my 300, just unbolt the stock, refit the headlight, and bolt the 250r hood on. I'm planning on a bigger quad in a year or so though, maybe a 400 or Banshee. If you want a sweet ass riding area, full of trails and stuff, check out the Tuttle Creek ORV park by Randolph (20 min. north of Manhattan). I go there every now and then, so maybe i'll cya there sometime!
