Duralast Battery (class size 49D) sold by AutoZone $59.99 + $8 refundable core charge. This battery was purchased 5/8/04 for my E32 735iL...but I wanted to compare it to the OEM battery in my E38 740iL. When it comes time to replace my E38's battery...this is the battery I'll probably go with. Johnson Controls is the manufacturer of the Duralast battery. This battery is about 1" shorter than the OEM e38 battery and can still be secured in the e38 using the alternate securing location in the trunk's battery tray.

The venting kit came attached to the side of the battery in a plastic bag. The longer tube that goes from the battery to the tube isn't in the pic because I forgot to take a pic of it before I installed the battery into the 735iL. 8-( (sorry)
