This is how the car looked when I first purchased it:
Now it has Mallory Billet Aluminum pedal covers:
These are CNC'd out of thick chunks of aluminum. There much more hefty and well made than the AutoZone or Pep Boys shelf models.
Also I took apart the gauge cluster and upgraded to custom made white face gauge overlays. I printed and designed them using pre-made templates. I also have an Autometer A/F ratio and transmission temp gauge on the A-pillar.

There is also a custom installed B&M Megashifter under the factory trim plate. This was a real chore since it was not designed to work with a Formula style plate. I hacked up the OEM shifter and mated it with the new Megashifter to retain stock height and the stock cable. I helicoiled the shifter due to previous owner stripping it out. It is also sporting a hand made leather boot. Yes, I made it myself.
You'll also notice my Autometer electric oil pressure gauge in the ash tray. This is its mounting spot until I fully upgrade the dash.

One of the most visible interior mods was the roll bar. It's one thing that sets me apart from the other 3rd gens in my town. I purchased this from S&W Race Cars from a GP. It was $280 shipped. The funny thing was all my options actually cost more than the base kit. It's a 8 point mild steel with dual swing outs and clearanced door bars (so armrests can fit). It also has an X-brace which is an autocross trick to keep the rear supports from flexing. The X-brace was recommended to me by Steve Spohn. They were designed from the regular straight non-clearanced bars included with the kit. Here are the pictures:

Here's the X-brace!

Side view, notice you can not really see the main hoop. This is due to the fact of me being well over 6' tall so the direction supplied would not let me put my set all the way back. I modified the design as I seen fit to make it work. The main hoop is actually on the rear seat hump where I hammered out the sheet metal and used the 6" X 6" 1/8" plates.

Total cost of the project was around $600 including purchase, paint, padding, and installation. Money well spent for the added safety and less chassis flex.
The roll bar also allowed me to use a Simpson 6 point Cam-lock blue harness for the driver. Sadly, this harness is out of date. I purchased it that way on Ebay for about $60 shipped. It works fine in the street car and I still trust an out of date Simpson harness more than the 15 year old factory seat belts.
